Step 1 – Prepare Essential Tools Needed for Cleaning

Step 2 – Dilute Liquid Leather Cleaner With Water

First, add 2 parts water to 1 part liquid leather cleaner and pour the mixture into a foaming pump bottle.  

Step 3 – Spray the Foam onto a White Cloth 

Spray the foam onto a white cloth (not directly onto the leather bag!) and wait the foam sit for few minutes before wiping the leather bag. 

Step 4 – Wipe the bag using the white cloth

Wipe bag using the cloth in a circular motion to clean dirt off the surface. 

Step 5 – Perform Deep Cleaning Using Brush 

If full grain leather bags are not cleaned for a long time, dirt can creep deeper into the leather.

In order to get rid of the dirt, spray the foam onto the brush and rub it gently into the leather in a circular motion to loosen the dirt inside the leather. 

Step 6 – Wipe the Leather with a Clean and Dry White Cloth

Take a clean, dry white cloth and wipe the leather to soak up dirt and excess foam that might have been left behind.


Step 7 – Dry It Naturally Indoor 

Let the bag dry naturally for 4 to 5 hours.

DO NOT use air-dryer to speed up the drying process as it might damage your bag if not handled properly.


Step 8 – Restore Texture with Mink Oil

Over time, leather becomes more rigid and hard. Apply some Mink oil onto a micro-fiber cloth and rub the leather bag with it.


Step 9 – Before/After Conditioning with Mink Oil

Stubborn Stains

If your handbag has stubborn oil or ink stains that you are unable to remove, it is advisable to send your bag to professional leather cleaners as such stains require specialized chemical removers.
